📋 CE PilotCE & license deadline tracking for licensed professionals

About CE Pilot

Why this site exists and how the requirement data is compiled and checked.

What this is

CE Pilot publishes the continuing-education requirements for real estate licensees, electricians, registered nurses and insurance producers in all 50 US states, and provides a tracker that watches your deadlines against your own state's rules.

The information half is free and always will be. The tracker is a paid product, and it is what funds keeping the data current.

How the data is compiled

Every state page records the requirement against its cited source — the official state licensing board where one is available, with the exact source excerpt kept on file. Figures are cross-checked against an independent compilation that documents its own sources state by state.

Where a state shows a range of hours, that range spans licence tiers or lines of authority — for example journeyman to master electrician, or salesperson to broker. Where a state publishes no fixed list of mandatory topic titles, we say so rather than inventing one. Where a state mandates no CE hours at all, the page says that plainly instead of printing a zero.

What we do not do: guess. If a requirement could not be confirmed against a primary source, it does not appear on this site as fact.

Why requirements are worth tracking properly

A lapsed licence does not produce a warning email from anyone. It simply stops you practising, and reinstatement usually costs more than the coursework would have. The most common cause is not difficulty — it is a deadline that arrived during a busy month, or a mandatory topic that was missed because the total hour count looked satisfied.

That is a bookkeeping problem, and bookkeeping problems are solvable.

Contact

Found an error in a state's requirements, or noticed a rule change we have not picked up? That is the single most useful message you can send. State boards revise requirements regularly and corrections are applied promptly.
