Frequently asked questions
- How do I pick a random winner from a list?
- Paste your entries into the textarea, one per line, and click Pick Random. Empty lines are ignored and the winner is chosen from the remaining names.
- Is the selection really random?
- Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographically secure random source, instead of the weaker Math.random function.
- Can I roll more than two dice?
- The dice button always rolls two six-sided dice and shows both values plus their sum, which covers the most common board-game and tabletop needs.
- Can I use it for a giveaway or raffle?
- Yes, every line has an equal chance of being picked. For a public draw, keep the original list and capture the result with a screenshot so participants can see it was fair.
